James Boley, consultant

I've worked in the construction press for three years, in that time I have reported and edited for two of the world’s largest construction magazines including the biggest title in the Middle East, and the most successful publication in the UK. In addition to construction, I've also edited a variety of design-led B2B titles in one of the most demanding architectural and interiors markets in the world.

Having been on the ‘media’ side of the coin, I’ve a unique insight into getting journalists on side and pitching stories that piques their interest and gets measurable results. However, I’ve also worked as PR professional for numerous national accounts, including Specsavers and E.On, generating coverage within the national press and on national television.

As a result, I’m a true double agent, understanding the pressures facing all sides and relishing the opportunity to act as a bridge between the two.

To Thinc about: James helped install the electrics for BBC Vets in Practice star Trude Mostue’s new surgery, during a teenage summer working for his uncle’s construction business.
